This is a 7-inch long stainless steel bar blade type bottle opener with a Rugby Football logo in cast pewter and inscribed with MY LIFE. MY GAME. RUGBY SINCE 1823. The cap lifter is 7-inches long and with a large thumb hole at one end. It is perfectly suited to be laid on a tabletop or bar, or hung on the wall as display. The rugby emblem is cast in fine pewter by the pewter smiths of Heritage Pewter. The addition of the Pewter Emblem Rugby Football on these bar blades has been carefully thought out so that the weight of the pewter logo does not interfere with the lever action of the bar blade. A bar blade differs from a regular cap lever in that the far end of the bottle opener is placed under the crown edge and the near end is placed on top of the crown and the blade is pushed down to pop the top of the bottle. This is a quick, easy, action on the part of the bartender, using less physical effort and it is aided by gravity. (See inset photo.)
